Trompe l’oeil mural in foyer adjoining entrance hall to home theater
These detail photos include before and after shots of the walls as well as close up details of trompe l’oeil features, such as the framed posters, curtains, and columns. McKeithan and her client selected the bronze and Austrian crystal light fixtures, both to complete the early 20th Century feeling of the home theater area and to complement the architectural style of the home. The final photo in this series highlights a serendipitous feature of the lighting. The crystal’s prism effect casts a rainbow directly across the sky in the middle of the mural.
