Peacocks mural on canvas
Megan created this contemporary mural of two peacocks on canvas in the studio and installed it on location in her client's home. Her client had the idea for this mural for more than 25 years and was thrilled to finally get to create it with Megan for the foyer and stairwell of their new home. The bright colors and vivid white of the peacocks stand out beautifully against the soft focus but saturated colors of the mural background. Her client built her home with the intention of installing murals like this, so the frames were built directly on the wall. Megan really enjoyed creating this and other works in this bright saturated color palette. So many contemporary homes like this one are open spaces with white walls and dark floors - much like a gallery - and creating these murals to complete their gallery was a real treat.
